The fine arts of sewing, quilting and needlepoint have been passed down through the generations of my family for many years. By the age of 10, I had been taught to sew, quilt, knit, crochet and cross-stitch. As a teen, my interest in these arts waned. However, once I left home for college, I found myself very thankful to have learned many of those skills.
In 2005, I decided to combine my background in corporate training and my love of sewing into a career in teaching sewing. I became a Martha Pullen licensed heirloom sewing educator that February and have since become licensed in several other curricula as well.
I currently travel the country with Martha Pullen Company assisting at Extravaganzas, Licensings and other events and also design projects and write curriculum for those events. In February 2008, I became the instructor for the overflow class of the Beginning School at Martha Pullen’s School of Art Fashion.
Locally, I teach a Serger Club and an Heirloom Club as well as many other serger and sewing classes at the Dublin Sewing Center in Dublin, CA.
I currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and am willing to travel nationally and internationally.
