Alicia Welcher
Martha Pullen Licensed Heirloom and Serger Sewing Instructor
The fine arts of sewing, quilting and needlepoint have
been passed down through the generations of my family
for many years. By the age of 10, I had been taught to
sew, quilt, knit, crochet and cross-stitch. As a teen,
my interest in these arts waned. However, once I left
home for college, I found myself very thankful to have
learned many of those skills.
In 2005, I decided to combine my background in corporate training and my love
of sewing into a career in teaching sewing. I became a Martha Pullen licensed
heirloom sewing educator that February and have since become licensed in
every curriculum they offer.
I currently travel the country with Martha Pullen Company assisting at
Extravaganzas, Licensings and other events and also design projects and write
curriculum for those events. In February 2008, I became the instructor for the
overflow class of the Beginning School at Martha Pullen’s School of Art Fashion.
Locally, I teach a Serger Club and an Heirloom Club as well as many other
serging and sewing classes at the Dublin Sewing Center in Dublin, CA.
See the calendar page for upcoming classes or contact me to schedule a class
or event of your own!

EXCITING (to me) NEWS!
See me on TV! This fall, I will appear in four episodes of Martha's Sewing Room (Series 3100 and 3200) in a segment called "I Love My Serger!". Check your local PBS station or BYU-TV to see when Martha's Sewing Room airs in your area.
